Svarttrost was started in 2018 and we work journalistically according to the Code of Ethics of the Norwegian Press.

Ellen Wisløff (b. 1973) is a partner and CEO of Svarttrost. She has background as a journalist and editor at Aller Media. Ellen is also the lady behind the Instagram account @renpoesi with over 100,000 followers and editor for the Ren Poesi publications (Aschehoug publishing house). She has been host of the poetry program Ordet fanget on NRK Radio P2.

Kari Hesthamar (b. 1971) is partner and chief editor at Svarttrost. She is a trained journalist and has worked for a total of 20 years at NRK, where she was head of Radiodokumentaren in NRK P2 from 2011-2014 and project manager for podcasts in the Marienlyst division from 2016-2018. Kari has made several award-winning documentaries both nationally and internationally, including gold and silver in the world championship Prix Italia, three times Prix Europa and three times Norwegian Prix Radio for the best program of the year.

Sindre Leganger (b. 1987) is partner and journalist in Svarttrost. He has produced or was central to several of the earliest and most successful documentary podcasts in Norway - such Uløst (VG), Skuddet på Toftøy (Aftenposten) and Hele historien (NRK). His productions has won several awards both national and international.

Stine Therese Strand (b. 1991) is production manager at Svarttrost, and works with administration and business, and idea development. She has over ten years of editorial experience from Aller Media, where she has worked with publications such as KK, HENNE and KK Living. For five years, from 2017 to 2021, she was edition manager of KK, and led the production of the magazine.

Anne Line Sundby (b. 1972) is a trained social anthropologist and documentary director. From 2004 she worked with visual storytelling as, among other things, editor, director and casting officer for several Norwegian and international TV and drama productions. In the spring of 2020, she joined Svarttrost when she produced the podcast series Datinghelvete for VG. She has led our work with the National Museum's audio guide, an extensive production of audio stories in several languages. Anne Line was a journalist/presenter of the podcast series Gåten Jan Helge Andersen.

Synva Hjørnevik (b. 1991) is a journalist in Svarttrost, where her most recent project was Operasjon Charlie. In 2019, she created the podcast series Utafor, about outsiders in our society. Before coming to Svarttrost, she worked as a podcast producer and concept developer in several production companies, including Rubicon Radio and PLAN-B. Synva also has experience as a culture journalist in Dagbladet and NRK.

Thomas Alkärr (b. 1975) is a journalist and creates audio stories for the National Museum's audio guide. Thomas has extensive experience from NRK as a researcher, reporter, duty manager and host in both radio and TV. In 2017, he was a reporter in the May 17th broadcast on NRK and was nominated for the Gullruten and Prix Italia for the exploration of contemporary art in the TV series Thomas og den vanskelige kunsten. In recent years, he has directed, among other things, the lifestyle series Oppfinneren and the music documentary series Helvete - historien om norsk black metal (2020) on NRK TV.

Ida Karine Gullvik (b. 1985) has background from Klassekampen and NRK, where she has worked as a journalist, host and duty manager. For NRK, she has also made several documentaries for radio and TV, among other things Bestemors krig who won Åke Blomström's prize for young documentary makers in 2014. Between 2018 and 2020, she produced the podcast Rørsla for LO Media.

Bjørn Olav Jahr (b. 1969) is a journalist in Svarttrost. He has previously worked in Kapital, Dagbladet and Memo. In 2003, he won the SKUP award for the winding up of the Finance Credit case. Bjørn Olav has extensive experience as a publishing editor in Gyldendal, and has himself published a number of books, including Hvem drepte Birgitte Tengs? (2015), Drapene i Baneheia (2017) and Prosessen mot Viggo Kristiansen (2021). He has also co-directed TV 2's documentary series Hvem drepte Birgitte? (2018). In 2023, Bjørn Olav was awarded Den store journalistprisen for his work on the Baneheia and Birgitte Tengs cases.

Marte Solbakken (b. 1983) is a feature and culture journalist with extensive experience from NRK P2. She has also freelanced from the USA, and was a regular writer for Klassekampen Musikkmagasinet. The radio documentary Epilog for Mr. Bodin, which she produced for NRK in 2010, was awarded Åke Blomstrøm's prize for young documentary makers. Marte has also worked as a project manager and text editor for Apple Music in Los Angeles, and she has toured and released records as an artist.

Nils Jakob Langvik (b. 1975) is a sound designer at Svarttrost, and is a trained sound designer at the Norwegian Film School. He has been associated with NRK for over ten years, where he worked with radio documentaries, radio theater and drama productions for TV. On his CV, he has success titles such as Skam, Stjernestøv, Lik meg and Nødt eller sannhet. In addition, Nils Jakob works with music, and in 2017 he helped compose Anja Garbarek and her latest record "The road is just a surface", which was nominated for the Spellemannsprisen. He has also done music/sound design for several dance and theater productions for Hålogaland theatre, Nordland theatre, Trøndelag theatre, Brageteatret and others.
